Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to drive store performance across daily operations, forecasting, labor management, and inventory. You will lead and develop hourly Team Members, schedule staffing, and uphold high standards of food quality and guest service.

You will help manage financials, prepare reports, and implement action plans while maintaining a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage financial aspects including budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends; able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA's standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues and conflicts to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Support with managing financial aspects including sales tracking, cash handling, and budgeting guidelines.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and analyzing performance metrics.
• Ensure accurate financial record-keeping and compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and train the team accordingly.
• Manage administrative tasks such as inventory and operational records.
• Assist with report preparation and action plan implementation.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
