Job summary

Aloft Tampa Downtown in Tampa, FL seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead hotel operations, collaborate with department heads, and drive adherence to brand standards. You will steer financial planning, labor controls, and guest satisfaction initiatives in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage budgets and staff in a dynamic, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of management experience.
• Experience in Rooms and F&B preferred.
• Knowledge of hotel operations, budgeting and forecasting.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to resolve guest, supervisor, and staff conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Lead all operational managers to succeed with daily, weekly, monthly, and annual action plans.
• Plan, organize and participate in hotel and department meetings.
• Ensure compliance with brand SOPs and policies.
• Develop and manage Rooms/F&B budgets and revenue forecasts.
• Interview, hire, train, develop staff and handle performance evaluations.
• Support Executive Committee goals and contribute to hotel financial objectives.
