Job summary

IRAS Group is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily hotel operations across Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, and Maintenance in Tampa, FL. You will lead and coach department managers, monitor guest satisfaction, and ensure compliance with Hilton-brand standards and policies.

The role requires a hands-on, guest-facing leader who can manage labor, scheduling, and financial performance while maintaining safe, high-quality service.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of hotel operations or hospitality management experience preferred.
• Strong guest-service and problem-solving skills with leadership ability.
• Experience supervising and developing hotel employees; able to manage multiple priorities.
• Comfortable reviewing hotel operating reports and basic financial performance metrics.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager with the overall daily operation of the hotel.
• Provide leadership and operational support to all hotel departments.
• Maintain a strong presence in guest-facing areas and respond promptly to guest concerns.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, hotel policies, and operating procedures.
• Monitor guest satisfaction scores and online reviews and assist with corrective action.
• Supervise, coach, and support department managers, supervisors, and hourly team members.
• Assist with recruiting, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee relations.
• Monitor employee scheduling and labor costs based on occupancy and business needs.
• Review daily operational reports, occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, labor, and other KPIs.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, expense control, purchasing, and cost-management initiatives.
• Ensure proper cash-handling, credit-card, and financial-control procedures are followed.
• Conduct regular property inspections to ensure guestrooms, public areas, grounds, and back-of-house areas meet standards.
• Work with Housekeeping and Engineering to address deficiencies and out-of-order rooms.
• Support Food & Beverage operations, including breakfast and other services.
• Assist with safety, security, emergency response, incident reporting, and risk-management procedures.
• Ensure incidents are documented and escalated appropriately.
• Serve as Manager on Duty as required; assume operation in GM's absence.
• Perform other duties as assigned based on property needs.
