Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in ensuring smooth daily operations at our travel plazas across the Northeast and Midwest. You will be responsible for supervising non-management staff, coaching shifts, and upholding brand standards.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations
• Flexible and open work schedule
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and assign work, focusing on store-level performance.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Uphold leadership and organizational standards.
• Address issues promptly and ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure clean, inviting restaurant appearance.
• Manage cash daily and deliver reports per directives.
• Resolve customer needs and build positive long-term relationships.
• Perform spot inventory counts to ensure data accuracy.
