Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a bakery-cafe and its amazing team. You will partner with the General Manager to oversee operations, delight guests, and grow the business while owning hiring, training, and development at your location.

You’ll drive results with strong business acumen, lead staffing and scheduling, and foster a welcoming culture of warmth and trust across your team.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management experience required.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain).
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Ability to drive results with strong business acumen.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Support GM by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing, scheduling, people development, career development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training while motivating energizing, engaging, inspiring, and celebrating the entire team.
• Ensure guest satisfaction through the quality of our food and extraordinary guest service.
• Partner with GM to develop managers on processes and Panera’s guiding values & Behaviors.
• Maintain bakery-cafe costs and inventory; assist with cost control initiatives.
• Build a culture of warmth, belonging, growth, and trust among the team.
• Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures and safety standards.
