Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved neighborhood bakery-cafe and drive sweet success. You will inspire a great team, partner with the General Manager on operations, and delight guests daily while growing the business and shaping a culture of warmth.

You will hire, train, and develop teammates, manage staffing and scheduling, and ensure high standards of service, quality, safety, and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1+ years restaurant management experience.
• ServSafe certification or ability to obtain it.
• Strong business acumen to drive results.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends; fast-paced environment.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and inspire the bakery-cafe team and partner with the General Manager.
• Plan staffing, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Hire, onboard, and train new team members while motivating and celebrating the team.
• Assist with managing team performance to meet goals, standards, and guest service expectations.
• Develop managers on processes and Panera's guiding values & behaviors.
• Ensure every guest is delighted by quality food and service.
• Help manage costs and inventory with the General Manager.
• Foster a culture of warmth, belonging, growth and trust.
