Job summary

Convive Brands, parent to Le Pain Quotidien, seeks an Assistant General Manager who will lead on the floor, coach leaders, and partner with the General Manager to elevate guest experiences and financial results. This hands‑on role balances hospitality with operations and people development across multiple shifts.

You will own labor, inventory, and costs while maintaining brand standards, delivering an exceptional dining experience, and preparing for future GM opportunities within Convive Brands.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of restaurant leadership experience in a full-service environment.
• Strong hospitality passion and ability to lead from the floor during service.
• Proven track record of building strong restaurant cultures where teams feel valued.
• Experience managing labor, sales, COGS, inventory, forecasting, and P&L performance.
• NYC Food Handlers License required to be considered for this position.
• Spanish, French, or Arabic language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead from the floor during service, coaching in the moment and supporting the team to deliver exceptional hospitality.
• Own the guest experience, anticipate needs, and resolve concerns with empathy and urgency.
• Develop people and culture, creating an environment where staff feel valued and accountable.
• Partner with the GM to recruit, hire, onboard, develop, and retain a high‑performing team.
• Lead and coach leaders and staff through openings, service, and closing with consistent execution.
• Own labor deployment during service and balance guest experience with productivity.
• Maintain high standards for food quality, hospitality, cleanliness, and safety.
• Collaborate with GM on inventory, food cost, waste, ordering, and COGS for performance gains.
• Contribute to P&L performance by analyzing sales, labor, and other metrics to forecast needs.
• Be prepared to assume GM responsibilities when needed for future advancement.
