Job summary

HMSHost International is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine restaurant operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, ready for business, staffed, and runs to high operational standards using prescribed policies.

Reporting to the General Manager or Director of Operations, the AGM will supervise associates, participate in hiring, monitor financial and service metrics, ensure AB compliance, scheduling, safety, and

Qualifications

• Requires minimum 6 years food & beverage, cash handling and customer service experience.
• Requires minimum 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions and policy documents; converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures per policy.
• Supervise day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit.
• Interview candidates and make hiring decisions; promote HMSHost locally.
• Review financial and operational data to monitor progress toward unit goals.
• Manage day-to-day activities of associates; ensure shifts are covered.
• Ensure compliance with AB policies and safety procedures.
• Assign tasks, prepare schedules, and monitor staffing levels.
• Keep displays clean and appealing; maintain equipment in good order.
• Monitor wellness and safety programs and report concerns.
• Place orders and manage receipts; ensure up-to-date contact info for staff.
