Job summary

HMSHost International is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and operates to high standards, following prescribed policies and procedures.

The AGM works under the General Manager/Director of Operations, supervising staff, managing schedules, and promoting a diverse and inclusive workplace while addressing customer and associate questions with discretion.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years food & beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, and converse with customers.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures.
• Supervises day-to-day activities of associates within a defined group of restaurants or points-of-sale.
• Makes hiring, termination, advancement or other status-change decisions for associates; promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice.
• Reads and understands financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress towards unit goals.
• Manages schedules and ensures shifts are covered.
• Ensures compliance with health, safety and beverage policies.
