Job summary

HMSHost in Denver, CO seeks an Assistant General Manager to assist branch leadership in running a fast-paced QSR or casual-dine operation. You will ensure the restaurant is clean, staffed and ready for service, and that operations meet high standards.

The AGM will lead daily activities, hire and develop staff, analyze financial reports, and maintain safety and compliance with company policies. This role requires flexible shifts, strong customer service, and a hands-on management style to deliver

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience.
• Minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen.
• Ability to read, write and comprehend instructions and policy documents.

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
• Assists the GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in supervising day-to-day activities of associates
• Interviews job candidates and makes hiring, promotion or status changes for associates
• Reads and understands financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress toward goals
• Manages day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of restaurants
• Ensures diversity and inclusion policies are understood and executed
• Resolves customer and associate questions and problems and escalates when needed
• Ensures compliance with all AB policies and staff understanding of procedures
• Assigns work tasks, prepares schedules and ensures shifts are covered
• Ensures mandated rest breaks and meal periods are taken
• Maintains clean, stocked and visually appealing display areas
• Ensures equipment is in good working order
• Operates cash register following cash handling policies
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports concerns
• Performs Health and Safety activities as specified in management guide
• Places orders, receives goods and processes invoices
• Keeps current contact information for associates
