Job summary

HMSHost is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support branch management in executing complex QSR or Casual Dine operations. The AGM ensures the restaurant is clean, staffed, and ready for business while upholding high standards.

The role supervises daily activities, helps hire and develop staff, interprets financial data to drive unit goals, and ensures health, safety and AB policies are followed.

Qualifications

• Requires a minimum of 6 years food and beverage, cash handling, and customer service experience
• Requires a minimum of 4 years supervisory or lead experience in a Casual Dine restaurant or production kitchen
• Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with customers

Responsibilities

• Completes opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies/procedures
• Assists the GM/F&B Multi Unit Manager I in supervising day-to-day activities of associates within a defined individual or group of restaurants or points-of-sale
• Interviews job candidates, makes hiring decisions for associates within the unit and promotes HMSHost as an employer of choice
• Reads and understands financial and operational data and reports to monitor progress towards unit goals
• Manages the day-to-day activities of associates within a defined unit or group of restaurants or POS
• Ensures health and safety policies are understood and followed, including AB procedures
• Assigns work tasks, prepares schedules, ensures shifts are covered
• Monitors wellness and safety procedures and reports safety concerns to the GM
• Places orders, receives goods, and processes invoices
• Maintains accurate associate contact information across the restaurant
