Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large jail kitchen operation onsite. The role supervises food service workers and ensures quality, safety, and compliance with health regulations.

The position emphasizes leadership, team building, and adherence to menus and schedules, with opportunities for career advancement and comprehensive benefits. On-site work in a correctional facility is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent) is required.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Basic accounting and reporting abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective actions to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients and communicate effectively.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per site plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and prepare menus in advance.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain sanitary environment per health codes and departmental guidelines.
• Prepare for state inspections and other regulatory reviews.
• Perform other duties as needed.
