Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in running a large jail kitchen operation on-site. You will supervise food service workers, plan activities, and ensure safe, efficient preparation and distribution of meals.

The role requires management experience in food service, ServSafe certification, and a strong focus on safety, sanitation, inventory, and compliance with health regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ServSafe Certification is required or preferred.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of experience working in food service.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and math for reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guidance, training, and management of the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served per plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and proper food storage.
• Maintain serving schedules to meet menu specifications and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a sanitary environment following health codes and regulations.
• Responsible for state or other inspections of the food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as determined by needs.
