Job summary

Trinity Services Group is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to oversee large jail/ correctional kitchen operations onsite. The role partners with the Food Service Director to plan activities, supervise food service workers, and ensure efficient meal production and distribution.

You will lead staff, ensure safety and compliance with health regulations, and foster a team-oriented environment while supporting continuous improvement and customer service excellence.

Qualifications

• 2 years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Experience working in food service operations.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Knowledge of purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective actions to team members.
• Communicate with clients to develop positive connections.
• Oversee that food is prepared and served per menu and schedule.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in advance of planned menus.
• Ensure proper food storage and sanitation.
• Maintain serving schedules per safety guidelines.
• Comply with Health Department codes and regulations.
• Support state inspections and other regulatory reviews.
• Perform additional responsibilities as needed.
