Job summary

Trinity Services Group Inc. is seeking an Assistant Food Service Director to partner with the Food Service Director in planning and supervising a large jail kitchen operation.

You will oversee the preparation and distribution of meals and lead a team of food service workers onsite. This role requires strong leadership, adherence to food safety regulations, and a commitment to staff training and development within a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; must be at least 18.
• Two years of management or supervisory experience in a food service position.
• Three years of food service experience.
• ServSafe Certification.
• Experience with purchasing, inventory, ordering and receiving.
• Experience managing and applying kitchen sanitation and safety standards.
• Knowledge of basic accounting and ability to complete reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and food service management systems.
• Prior institutional food service or restaurant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Guide, train, and manage the facility food service operation.
• Hire, orient, train and issue corrective action to team members.
• Develop positive connections with clients through effective communication.
• Oversee quantities of food prepared and served according to plan.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and follow menu schedules.
• Ensure proper storage of food items.
• Maintain serving schedules per menu specifications safely.
• Maintain sanitary environment per health codes and regulations.
• Handle any state or other inspections of food service operation.
• Other responsibilities as needed by the facility.
