Job summary

The Elyton in Birmingham, AL is seeking an Assistant Executive Housekeeper for a new hotel opening. This role supports the Executive Housekeeper to ensure cleanliness and quality of guest rooms and public areas, including training, inspections, and inventory control.

May support the Laundry department and coordinate with Front Office to achieve 100% guest satisfaction. Ideal candidates have prior supervisory or managerial housekeeping experience, strong communication and organizational skills,

Qualifications

• Prior housekeeping experience in hospitality required.
• Strong initiative and work ethic.
• Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays and irregular hours.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Customer-service oriented with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure and maintain cleanliness, service and product quality standards for guest rooms and public spaces.
• Monitor team member performance and provide feedback to Executive Housekeeper.
• Maintain inventory control (linen, room supplies, etc.).
• Perform opening/closing procedures for housekeeping as needed.
• Inspect rooms daily for brand standards and cleanliness.
• Provide feedback to Room Attendants on deficiencies in rooms.
• Assist with training initiatives in the housekeeping department.
• Support Laundry operations as needed and coordinate with Front Office.
