Job summary

Oak Park Place seeks an Assistant Director of Food Services to support the Director in delivering quality meals and nutritional services for residents. You will supervise day-to-day staff activities, ensure compliance with policies and federal/state requirements, and help plan cycle menus.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and maintaining high food safety standards to meet resident needs and Oak Park Place values.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or higher is required.
• Current ServSafe certification is required.
• Experience in long-term care is preferred.
• Two years or more related dining/nutrition experience is desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct assistant to the Director of Food Services ensuring quality meals and nutritional services.

The Assistant Director of Food Services provides direct assistant to the Director of Food Services ensuring quality meals and nutritional services to the facility’s residents while supervising the day to day activities performed by department staff. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the food service program with following all Oak Park Place policies and procedures, and federal/state requirements.
• Provides leadership, support and guidance to ensure that food quality standards, inventory levels, food safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
• Makes sure facility has sufficient supplies.
• Assist in the planning and implementing of cycle menus.
• Plan, conduct or arrange for food service staff development/in-service training programs and maintain program documentation.
• Ensure the quality control of all food trays leaving the work area.
• Support the facility but following policies and procedures that help advance the goals and values of Oak Park Place.

RequirementsQualifications:
