Job summary

Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, is seeking an Assistant Director to support the Director of Environmental Services in directing the housekeeping operations of the facility. You will coordinate Operations Managers, serve as a liaison between administration and hospital departments, and ensure top-level service.

You will lead staffing, schedules, budgeting, and quality initiatives, shaping standards and ensuring compliant, efficient environmental services across the department.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic and customer service orientation.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy.
• Ability to manage staff, handle stress, organize tasks, and develop budgets.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff in accordance with facility policies and practices.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and terminates facility housekeeping personnel in accordance with facility standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility; recommends action items and assists with relocations.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and communicates with other departments to coordinate housekeeping activities.
• Schedules major project work, ensuring adequate staff and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
