Crothall Healthcare, a Compass Healthcare company, seeks an Assistant Director of Environmental Services to support the Director in directing hospital housekeeping operations. You will coordinate Operations Managers, liaise between administration and hospital departments, and deliver high-quality service.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, strong communication, and budget management skills, with a focus on healthcare housekeeping excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work history required.
• Working knowledge of housekeeping procedures preferred.
• Demonstrated progressive growth in healthcare housekeeping facility maintenance.
• Strong work ethic, initiative for quality and customer service.
• Excellent written and oral communication, listening and empathy, and problem solving skills.
• Participative staff management and budgeting abilities under stress.
• Excellent stress management, administrative and organizational, and follow-through.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and reviews standards and work procedures for all Housekeeping staff in accordance with facility policies.
• Plans work schedules, hours, areas of work, and job duties to ensure adequate housekeeping services.
• Interviews, selects, hires, evaluates, and terminates housekeeping personnel per facility standards.
• Orients, trains, develops and supervises all Housekeeping staff.
• Performs regular inspections and evaluations of the facility and recommends actions.
• Conducts regular staff meetings and coordinates with other departments.
• Schedules major project work with adequate staff and supplies.
• Conducts regular inventory of housekeeping supplies.
• Assists Department Director with budgets.
