Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a Customer Training Specialist to develop Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service and product information in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will train staff on product knowledge, help maintain merchandising standards, and support store leadership in implementing the company’s basic P’s of retail. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly pay range and benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act and work in a manner that is consistent with company's core values.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the basic P’s of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing).
• Provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure attentive and accurate customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation.
• Ensure overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the department.
• Communicate SOP direction and changes to all associates in a timely manner.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Stock and tag merchandise displays; create price tags and signs.
• Greet customers and assist with product questions and selections.
• Process customers at checkout using the POS; handle refunds and exchanges per guidelines.
