Floor & Decor is seeking a customer-focused professional to train and develop Product Sales Specialists while ensuring customers enjoy a positive shopping experience with exceptional service and expert product information.

The role emphasizes leading sales staff, maintaining merchandising standards, and delivering accurate product guidance in a fast-paced retail environment. Candidates should be prepared for warehouse settings and physical tasks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent education/experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Act in accordance with the company’s core values.
• Follow safe lifting practices and SOPs.
• Teach and reinforce the basic P’s of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Direct and support product sales specialists to deliver attentive customer service.
• Complete required product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate product knowledge for merchandise and installations.
• Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, and department organization.
• Communicate SOP directions and changes to associates promptly.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Notify management of inventory needs.
• Facilitate processing of merchandise to showroom floor.
• Verify product placement and pricing in the department.
• Greet customers in a helpful, courteous manner.
• Assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Process sales at checkout using POS; handle refunds/exchanges per guidelines.
• Present informative 'how-to' classes to customers.
• Follow cash/credit/debit procedures and acceptance guidelines.
• Answer phones per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
