Job summary

Floor & Decor is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to mentor Product Sales Specialists and ensure customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information. You will lead training programs, uphold safety standards, manage merchandising and pricing, and help associates grow through certification courses and hands-on coaching.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, at least one year in customer service or sales, and strong communication in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of customer service/sales experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).

Responsibilities

• Act in a manner consistent with the company's core values.
• Comply with safe lifting practices SOPs.
• Drive and teach the basic P's of retail: People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing.
• Provide direction to product sales specialists for attentive customer service.
• Complete all product specialist certification courses.
• Demonstrate understanding of merchandise and installation.
• Ensure merchandising, pricing and organization of the department.
• Communicate SOPs to associates in a timely manner.
• Complete forklift proficiency testing and certification.
• Communicate inventory needs to management.
• Direct and assist merchandise processing to showroom floor.
• Validate product placement and pricing within the department.
• Greet customers in a helpful and courteous manner.
• Assist customers with product questions and selections.
• Process customers at checkout using POS system.
• Process refunds and exchanges per guidelines.
• Present how-to classes to customers.
• Follow cash, check, and card procedures.
• Answer telephone per guidelines.
• Stock and tag displays; create price tags and signs.
