Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking a role focused on training and developing Product Sales Specialists to ensure customers receive exceptional service and accurate product information in a busy retail setting.

The position emphasizes leading by example, certifying staff, and driving the basic P's of retail (People, Position, Product, Presentation, Price, Promotion, Purchasing) to support store performance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and 1 year of customer service or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction to all product sales specialists to ensure a highly attentive and accurate level of customer service
• Complete all product specialist certification courses
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of merchandise and installation
• Ensure the overall merchandising, pricing and organization of the department
• Greet every customer in a helpful and courteous manner
• Assist customers with product questions and selections
• Process customers at check-out using the POS system
• Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines
• Present how-to classes to customers
• Follow established cash, check and charge card acceptance procedures
• Answer the telephone according to accepted guidelines
• Stock and tag merchandise displays as required
• Create price tags and merchandise signs
