Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to manage the organization’s financial accounting, close processes, and internal controls. This role partners with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting, compliant practices, and scalable processes across multiple operating companies.

The ideal candidate will bring a CPA or strong GAAP background, 5–7+ years of accounting leadership, and expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5–7+ years of accounting experience.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
• Experience with Dynamics BC or a similar ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for multiple operating companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, and intercompany items.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
• Explain variances to forecast and budget with management.
• Coordinate month-end close timing and results with cross-functional teams.
• Lead and develop the accounting team; foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Lead year-end audit and respond to external auditors.
