Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage financial accounting across multiple operating companies, ensuring timely and accurate close processes and strong internal controls.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA or deep GAAP expertise, 5–7+ years of accounting experience, and proven leadership. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central or similar ERP is preferred, with ability to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central (or similar ERP) preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under tight timelines.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships across levels.
• Compensation range $115,000–$130,000 dependent on experience.

Responsibilities

• Own full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple Operating Companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for AR, AP, payroll, and other areas.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
• Research variances with management and forecast/budget explanations.
• Communicate month-end close timing and results with stakeholders.
• Lead a team of accountants with coaching and development.
• Foster collaboration and continuous improvement across teams.
• Ensure procedures conform to GAAP and Corporate Policies.
• Lead year-end audit requests from external auditors.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
