Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC seeks an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting across multiple operating companies, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with GAAP, and efficient month-end closings. You will lead a team of accountants, prepare journal entries, reconcile ledgers, support audits, and drive adoption of new accounting software such as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's in accounting/finance, 5–7+ years of accounting

Qualifications

GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
Ability to manage month-end close for multiple operating companies.
Strong leadership and team development abilities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities of multiple Operating Companies.
Prepare/Review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, and accruals.
Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies.
Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance and development.
Lead year-end audit requests and coordinate with external auditors.
Drive adoption of new accounting software and tools.
