Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting across multiple operating entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate will have a strong GAAP background, experience with ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central), CPA preferred, and 5–7+ years in accounting leadership to guide a growing finance team through close cycles and audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA preferred.
• 5-7+ years of accounting experience.
• In-depth GAAP and financial reporting knowledge.
• Experience leading a finance team.

Responsibilities

• Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close for multiple Operating Companies.
• Prepare and review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany, and month-end accruals.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts per Corporate Policies and Procedures.
• Research and explain variances to forecast and budget with Management.
• Communicate month-end close timing and results with cross-functional teams.
• Lead a team of accountants, providing guidance, training, and career development.
• Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
