Job summary

New Charter Technologies, LLC is seeking an Assistant Controller to manage the financial accounting for multiple operating companies, ensuring accurate close processes and strong internal controls. The role requires leadership to guide a growing accounting team and cross-functional collaboration to align with corporate policies and reporting standards.

The ideal candidate will have a CPA preferred and 5-7+ years of accounting experience, with expertise in GAAP and ERP systems such as Microsoft

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
CPA preferred.
5-7+ years of accounting experience.
In-depth GAAP knowledge and financial reporting experience.
Ability to lead and develop a team while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Own the full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for multiple operating companies.
Prepare/review journal entries for AR, AP, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, intercompany, and accruals.
Reconcile general ledger accounts in line with policies and procedures.
Research and explain variances to forecast and budget with management.
Coordinate month-end close timing with other functions and report results.
Lead a team of accountants and foster collaboration and continuous improvement.
Lead year-end audit requests and support external auditors.
Champion adoption of new accounting software and tools.
