Job summary

Asset Living is a fast-growing property management company seeking an Assistant Community Manager for an on-site role in California. You will oversee daily operations and financial functions, focusing on delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow, while supervising staff to ensure compliance with policies and safety regulations.

The role covers leasing, maintenance, administration, and risk management under the Community Manager.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years in housing industry, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to use onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Post payments and income from applicants and residents accurately.
• Process and reconcile daily accounts receivable.
• Monitor bad debt; issue late notices and process evictions as needed.
• Help property meet budgeted revenues, expenses and NOI.
• Post charges to resident accounts and bill back utilities when applicable.
• Perform end-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain organized records and audit resident files.
• Walk units, post move-out charges and refund deposits.
• Supervise staff onsite and enforce company policies.
