Job summary

Asset Living is hiring an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily operations and financial functions of a housing community under the Community Manager's supervision. You will drive rent collection, cash flow management, and on-site staff supervision while ensuring compliance with company policies and fair housing guidelines.

The role emphasizes teamwork, leadership, and adherence to budgets, with on-site responsibilities and a strong focus on resident satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Posting all payments and income received from all applicants, current residents, and non-current residents accurately, timely, and efficiently.
• Processing and reconciling daily all account receivables.
• Monitor and follow up on bad debt to include preparation of late notices, resident and guarantor contact, and filing evictions.
• Responsible for helping the property meet budgeted revenues, expenses, and Net Operating Income.
• Posting of all charges to resident and non-current resident accounts; to also include bill back of utilities where applicable.
• End-of-month closing procedures and reporting.
• Maintain accurate and organized records; audit resident files to ensure accurate records.
• Walk units and post all move-out charges, statements, and security deposit refunds.

Education
