Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to work with the Community Manager to ensure the smooth operation of the property and to step in when needed. You will assist with leasing, marketing, and resident relations while maintaining accurate financial records.

This role requires strong communication, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks, from advertising and showings to rent collection and vendor coordination. Prior apartment management is preferred.

Qualifications

• Fair Housing Certification or willingness to obtain before interacting with residents.
• Ability to support and contribute to the community team.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• English proficiency required; bilingual Spanish a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare advertising materials and assist with unit showings and applicant screening.
• Maintain records of rental levels and analyze leasing data.
• Present leasing ideas and manage courteous resident communication.
• Process applications, conduct credit and rental history checks, and submit for approval.
• Monitor renewals and distribute renewal notices; collect and apply rents.
• Handle lease documentation, input data into Yardi, and support maintenance coordination.
• Represent the company professionally and enforce community policies.
