Job summary

Asset Living is seeking an Assistant Community Manager to oversee daily housing community operations under the Community Manager. You will handle leasing, financials, and staff coordination to ensure compliant, efficient site management.

You will manage rent collection, budgeting, and marketing initiatives while delivering strong resident service. This onsite role emphasizes leadership and operational excellence within a dynamic multifamily portfolio.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred or two years experience in the housing industry; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to understand and perform all onsite software functions; basic computer skills required.
• Must have basic knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and OSHA requirements.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations under the supervision of the Community Manager.
• Manage delinquency and rent collection to optimize cash flow.
• Supervise staff and ensure compliance with company policies and safety guidelines.
• Post and reconcile payments and income from residents and applicants.
• Monitor accounts receivable and issue late notices and evictions as needed.
• Assist in budgeting and NOI goals; manage leasing and renewals.
• Conduct regular unit inspections and ensure property appearance.
• Provide excellent customer service and address resident concerns.
• Coordinate marketing strategies and implement resident retention programs.
• Lead leasing, showings, and move-ins with prospective residents.
