Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club in Florida is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to provide leadership and direction within the club and drive performance across departments. The trainee will receive focused development aligned to a designated track and will eventually oversee the corresponding departments, including Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience.

A key function involves talent development, leadership delivery, and ensuring food safety and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience in retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations management.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; ability to lead large teams.
• Knowledge of inventory, shrink, and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Club Manager to oversee daily operations of assigned departments.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members; manage labor planning and scheduling.
• Drive sales, inventory control, and customer service excellence across departments.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, OSHA, and internal audits.
• Lead department talent development and cross-functional collaboration.
