Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking an Assistant Club Manager in Training (AMIT) to develop leadership within the club and drive department performance across Merchandising, Perishables, or Member Experience. The trainee will receive targeted development and will eventually oversee the respective departments.

This role includes auditing, onboarding, certification, and ensuring food safety, with the Manager on Duty responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a retail store, supermarket, or warehouse operations manager required.
• Strong drive for results and solid work ethic.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to lead a large team.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic department leadership across Merchandising, Perishables, or Frontline operations.
• Recruit, hire, and onboard team members with a focus on development and certification.
• Oversee labor planning, scheduling, and adherence to club standards.

Education
