Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk operations and support the General Manager. The role emphasizes managing front desk personnel, delivering top-tier customer service, and ensuring smooth day-to-day club activities.

The candidate should be able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively with management, and demonstrate strong supervisory and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associates preferred.
• 6 months supervisor/manager experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail environment.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to multi-task and communicate effectively with management.

Responsibilities

• Assist in interviewing and recruitment by completing initial phone interviews of front desk and fitness instructors.
• Monitor inventory and review daily/weekly/monthly sales numbers with GM to identify opportunities and modify execution as needed to improve performance.
• Communicate and uphold company standards; lead by example for delivering the organization’s mission, vision and values; maintain a clean, friendly club.
• Mentor Front End employees to promote career growth through training, development, and performance assessment.
• Oversee club audits to ensure areas are clean, neat, and in like-new condition.
• Adjust shifts to cover call-outs or vacancies and assist with coverage when necessary.
