Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee front desk personnel and support the General Manager. You will focus on front-of-house operations, ensuring superior member experiences in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include interviewing staff, monitoring inventory, and communicating standards across the club. You’ll mentor the front-end team, cover shifts when needed, and participate in club audits and performance improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred.
• 6 months supervisor or manager experience in a high-volume restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) preferred.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
• Strong customer service and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee front desk personnel and assist the General Manager.
• Focus on front-of-house operations to ensure effective day-to-day activities.
• Interview and recruit by conducting initial phone interviews of front desk and fitness instructors.
• Monitor inventory and review sales numbers with GM to identify opportunities and adjust execution.
• Communicate and uphold company standards; lead by example in delivering the organization’s mission and values.
• Mentor front-end staff to promote career growth through training and performance assessment.
• Coordinate disciplinary actions and terminations with GM, Regional Manager and HR.
• Provide shift coverage as needed and oversee club audits for cleanliness and organization.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Club Manager.
