Job summary

The GEO Group provides complementary, turnkey solutions for government partners worldwide across a spectrum of diversified correctional and community reentry services. This role supports Day Reporting Center participants, assisting Case Managers with coordination and documentation using evidence-based practices.

You will engage with participants, perform intake tasks, manage data in the company database, and support transitions through program phases while maintaining compliance and quality

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College coursework in Human Services or business discipline preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience in Human Services with direct participant services preferred.
• Minimum of six (6) months experience working with minority populations preferred.
• Must be twenty-one (21) years of age with at least five (5) years driving experience if required to transport participants.
• Valid State driver’s license and five (5) year record of safe and competent driving as demonstrated by state motor vehicle report if required to transport participants.
• Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle if required to transport participants.
• Good customer service skills.
• Effective communication skills with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and proficiency with MS Word and Excel.
• Basic database skills.
• Basic math skills.
• Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) skills may be required.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.

Responsibilities

• Greets participants entering the facility.
• May complete drug screens according to assigned schedule for each participant check-in.
• May perform breath analysis on each participant who enters the facility and provides a result.
• Completes initial intake process with participants, including intake paperwork and assignment of groups and services.
• Provides general office administration duties including answering phones and customer service to all who enter the facility.
• Assists Case Managers with case coordination, communication with appropriate agencies and reports.
• Assists in managing a participant caseload using the Principles of Effective Intervention (What Works).
• Conducts risk/need assessments and creates treatment plans for each assigned participant.
• Meets regularly with participants and documents progress in Company database.
• Facilitates evidence-based CBT programs and life skills groups; documents attendance and progress.
• Develops and monitors participant progress relative to CMP through all program phases.
• Files, prepares charts and performs data entry as assigned.
• May collect participant payments and make deposits.
• May be responsible for office opening/closing procedures.
• May install/remove electronic monitoring equipment and forward documentation to agencies.
• May transport participants to events using Company vehicle.
• May clean electronic home monitoring equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
