Job summary

Woodforest National Bank in Asheboro, NC is seeking an Assistant Branch Manager to support the Branch Manager in driving branch performance and customer relationship growth. The role emphasizes ownership mindset, coaching, and delivering the Woodforest Experience across in-branch, teller, and digital interactions.

The position requires hands-on leadership, strong customer service, and the ability to balance sales objectives with regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

3+ years of relevant sales or customer service experience.
Associate’s degree with related experience or Bachelor’s degree with related experience.
Demonstrated leadership capability; prior supervisory or coaching experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and marketing-oriented sales skills.
Ability to work flexible or extended hours based on business needs.

Responsibilities

Partner with the Branch Manager to operate the branch with a business-owner mindset, supporting retail growth and customer acquisition.
Drive branch sales goals through proactive customer engagements, referrals, and marketing efforts.
Coach and support team members to uncover customer needs and promote retail banking products.
Ensure high-quality service across teller, platform, and digital interactions.
Participate in community engagement and external relationship-building to drive branch traffic.
