Job summary

Insomnia Cookies is seeking an Assistant Bakery Operations Manager to partner with the Bakery Operations Manager, lead a motivated team, and ensure a warm guest experience across daily bakery operations.

You will coach shifts, assist with staffing, scheduling, inventory, and quality standards, and step up to lead during busy periods, contributing to a culture of accountability and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of leadership in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or customer-focused environments.
• Experience coaching, motivating, and developing hourly team members.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Hands-on leadership style and willingness to jump into bakery roles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences and building great teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day bakery operations with your BOM to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Stand in for the BOM and run bakery operations when they’re away.
• Coach and develop Shift Leaders and Cookie Crew members with real-time feedback.
• Assist with recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and training to build a strong team.
• Help create schedules and manage labor to fit bakery needs and business goals.
• Support inventory, product rotation, and shrink control to protect quality.
