Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes seeks a Bakery Manager to lead a team and oversee guest experience, cake production, brand presentation, work environment, P&L management, and inventory control. The objective is to drive sales and profitability while delivering the highest quality cakes and superior service in a warm environment.

The role requires strong leadership, scheduling, and cost-control skills, with a focus on coaching, performance reviews, and ensuring adherence to NbC standards and food safety

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; post-secondary education is a plus.
• 1–3 years of leadership experience managing teams, business operations and the guest experience in retail, hospitality or food service.
• Demonstrated success in hiring and developing teams, creating a superior service environment and achieving financial objectives.
• Foodservice safety training certificate (or required to obtain within 30 days of employment).
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, with comfort in learning new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Directs bakery team and day-to-day operation, including guest experience, cake production, merchandising, and inventory control.
• Facilitates opening and closing, cash handling, and payroll related tasks.
• Manages special-order fulfillment via web and email for individuals and corporate accounts.
• Sets weekly sales productivity goals, cake production plan, and team schedule; adjusts bakery coverage as needed.
• Sets inventory par levels, monitors stock, and conducts weekly supply orders and monthly inventory.
• Ensures product, service, ambience, and visual merchandising standards; adheres to food safety standards and NbC policies.
• Manages controllable expenses (labor, COGS, maintenance, supplies) to maximize profitability.
• Performs administrative functions including payroll processing, sales and labor reporting, and basic accounting.
