Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an experienced Asset Protection Agent to keep customers, teams and merchandise safe in our stores. You’ll work with the ERT, investigate theft, and help maintain a secure shopping environment.

Responsibilities include reducing shrinkage, using surveillance and RFID data, preparing reports, and supporting store security audits. A valid security license is required in specified locations; strong judgment and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid security license required for designated states.

• Ability to work a flexible schedule and meet licensing requirements.
• Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with policy adherence and high shrinkage areas.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting and surveillance.
• Support shrinkage reduction through action plans.
• Assist internal theft investigations with various methods including surveillance.
• Investigate internal theft with AP leadership and investigations teams.
• Operate video systems to monitor theft activity and aid investigations.
• Use RFID data to view merchandise movement and assist item-level investigations.
• Maintain safety and security of customers, employees, and store.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness efforts.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and participate in training.
