Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to help keep customers, teams, and merchandise safe across our stores. You will work with store leadership and ERT to respond to incidents and protect company assets.

Your role involves using surveillance, RFID data, and investigative procedures to identify theft trends and maintain a secure shopping environment with confidentiality and strong communication. Training and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with good judgement and policy-compliant apprehensions.
• Identify theft trends using reporting and surveillance tactics.
• Drive shrinkage reduction with action plans and standards.
• Support internal theft investigations through various methods including surveillance systems.
• Investigate internal theft with evidence and collaboration with AP teams.
• Use video systems to monitor theft activity and aid investigations.
• Leverage RFID data to view merchandise movement and assist investigations.
• Maintain safety and security by responding to incidents and reporting them.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness in-store and train staff.
• Serve on the Emergency Response Team (ERT) and participate in training.
• Prepare and submit reports for incidents, recoveries, investigations, and policy violations.
• Testify in court when summoned.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and local law enforcement.
