Job summary

Nordstrom is seeking an Asset Protection Agent to help keep customers, teams, and brands safe while protecting profits. You will partner with the Emergency Response Team, reduce shrinkage, and investigate theft with cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities include responding to incidents, using surveillance and RFID data, conducting audits, and supporting investigations. Strong judgment, confidentiality, and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Detailed, clear verbal and written skills.
• Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience in investigative, asset protection and security procedures (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Resolve theft with good judgment and proper apprehensions per policy.
• Identify theft trends using technology, reporting and surveillance.
• Drive shrinkage reduction with action plans and protections standards.
• Support internal theft investigations through various methods.
• Investigate internal theft by gathering evidence and coordinating with teams.
• Use video systems to monitor activity and aid investigations.
• View merchandise movement using RFID data for item-level checks.
• Maintain safety and security of customers, employees, and store.
• Lead security audits and shrinkage awareness trainings.
• Serve on the store Emergency Response Team (ERT) and respond to training.
• Prepare timely incident reports and testify when required.
• Build partnerships with store leaders, retailers, and law enforcement.
