Job summary

Innova Solutions is seeking an Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract in Tempe, AZ. The role involves metallization/coat ing of glass substrates, surface preparation, inspection, and maintaining records in the Quality Tracking System, with independent work under limited supervision.

The ideal candidate has a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 1–3 years of related manufacturing experience or an associate degree with 0–2 years. Computer skills and English reading/writing are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years of related experience or 2 years post-secondary/associate's degree with 0–2 years of related manufacturing work experience.
• Proficient with computers: email, websites, online training and quality management systems.

Responsibilities

• Metallization or coating of glass substrates using deposition equipment to achieve proper electro-optical surface conditions.
• Surface prep of substrates using cleaners, solvents, and acids for post-processing readiness.
• Inspect coated metalized substrates to meet acceptance criteria.
• Operate safely with limited supervision; perform moderately difficult assignments requiring independent judgment.
• Maintain accurate records via the Quality Tracking System (QTS).
• Use chemicals and inspection equipment as required; document results.

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an Assembly Technician

Position Type: Full Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire

Duration: 12months

Location: Tempe, AZ

As an Assembly Technician you will do:

• Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using various deposition equipment to achieve proper electro-optical surface conditions
• Surface preparation of pre and post metalized or coated substrates using cleaning agents, solvents and acids to prepare substrates for post-processing
• Inspect pre and post metalized or coated glass substrates in order to comply with internal and external acceptance criteria
• Fully proficient in this role and able to work safely with limited supervision, Assignments can be moderately difficult requiring independent judgement
• Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS)
• Use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents) and use inspection equipment
• Recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a criterion developed for individually designed night vision components for the purposes of data and quality tracking
• Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and test areas)

Ideal candidate will have :

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum or 1-3 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing work experience
• Computer proficiency; email, websites, online training and quality management operating systems, and misc. tasks.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Use a microscope
• Clearly read and write in English
• Use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents)
• Use inspection equipmentGeneral working knowledge of Lean and 5S+1 methodology
• Clean Room protocols

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis.

Pay Range: $18 to $19.50 per hour

Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
