Job summary

Innova Solutions seeks an Assembly Technician for a 12-month contract in Tempe, AZ (1st shift). The role involves metallization/coating of glass substrates, surface prep, inspection, and data recording in QTS. Ideal candidates have a HS diploma with 1–3 years relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary with related manufacturing work.

Requires English proficiency and basic lean knowledge. Position is open to W-2 engagement only, with referrals encouraged.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 1–3 years relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associate degree with 0–2 years manufacturing experience.
• Clear reading and writing in English.
• Familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
• General Lean and 5S+1 knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to procedures and work instructions to achieve quality and yield goals.
• Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using deposition equipment.
• Surface preparation of substrates using cleaners, solvents and acids.
• Inspect substrates against acceptance criteria.
• Use of a microscope for inspection tasks.
• Maintain records in the Quality Tracking System (QTS).
• Work safely with limited supervision; handle chemicals and inspection equipment.
• Operate in low-light inspection areas.

Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for an Assembly Technician.

Position Type: Full-Time Contract, Possible Contract to hire

Duration: 12 months

Location: Tempe, AZ 85281(1st shift)

As an Assembly Technician you will :

• Adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform a variety of processes, achieving quality and yield goals.
• Metallization and/or coating of glass substrates using various deposition equipment to achieve proper electro-optical surface conditions
• Surface preparation of pre and post metalized or coated substrates using cleaning agents, solvents and acids to prepare substrates for post-processing
• Inspect pre and post metalized or coated glass substrates in order to comply with internal and external acceptance criteria
• Use of a microscope to preform inspection tasks
• Recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a criterion developed for individually designed night vision components for the purposes of data and quality tracking
• Fully proficient in this role and able to work safely with limited supervision, assignments can be moderately difficult requiring independent judgement
• Maintain accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS)
• Use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents) and use inspection equipment
• Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and test areas)

Ideal Candidate will have:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum or 1-3 years prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related manufacturing work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Use high and medium power inspection tools to verify compliance to inspection criteria
• Train to recognize and categorize 40+ failure modes set against a criterion developed for individually designed night vision components for the purposes of data and quality tracking.
• Good eye-hand coordination, and ability to lift and do repeat tasks.
• Familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control)
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office) Data entry, Inventory of components both physical and virtual from the computer
• Use a microscope
• Clearly read and write in English
• Use chemicals (acids, bases, and solvents)
• Use inspection equipment
• General working knowledge of Lean and 5S+1 methodology
• Clean Room protocols
• Darkness or low lighting (in inspection and test areas)

This position is only open to applicants who can be engaged on a W-2 basis. 1099 contractors and Corp-to-Corp arrangements will not be considered for this position.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: Between $17 - $19 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
