Oshkosh Corporation is hiring an assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. This role involves assembling parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.

The position requires using overhead cranes, hand and pneumatic tools, measuring with tape, drilling and tapping holes, and identifying options from schematics.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in the manufacturing or general labor industry.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet business and production demands.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, in-person and on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools (e.g., wrenches, hammers, torque guns) with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tools like tape measures.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify required options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain attention to detail to meet quality standards.
• Keep a clean, safe work area in compliance with safety rules and 6S standards.
