Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation, via its JLG brand, seeks an assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors. You will work on varied products and use mechanical, electrical, and manual tools to complete assemblies.

Responsibilities include wiring, hydraulics, installing decals and lights, operating an overhead crane, and reading schematics. You may lift up to 35 lbs solo and up to 60 lbs with a team, with opportunities to cross-train across areas.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience in manufacturing or general labor.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance, on-site.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on JLG/Jerr-Dan products using power tools and manual techniques.
• Install product accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Safely operate an overhead crane to position parts.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately using tapes and similar tools.
• Drill and tap holes for wires, hoses, and small components.
• Identify options from schematics, blueprints, and Standard Work Instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies and parts (up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs).
• Crosstrain and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely and maintain 6S safety standards.
