Job summary

Oshkosh Corporation is seeking an assembler to safely assemble equipment by following detailed instructions from Supervisors and Group Leaders. These assemblies vary in size and product while requiring use of mechanical, electrical, and manual tools.

You will work on JLG/Jerr-Dan products, install accessories, operate an overhead crane, use power and hand tools, measure with tape measures, and verify quality while keeping the work area clean and safe.

Qualifications

• Overtime availability to meet production demands.
• Regular, reliable on-site attendance.
• High attention to detail and safe work practices.
• Proficient use of hand and power tools.
• Ability to read basic schematics and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Assemble parts, wires, hoses, and hydraulics on products using tools.
• Install accessories such as decals, mud flaps, cameras, and lights.
• Operate an overhead crane to position parts safely.
• Use hand and pneumatic tools with accuracy.
• Measure accurately with tape measures and calipers.
• Drill and tap holes for wires and small components.
• Identify options from schematics and work instructions.
• Lift and stack subassemblies up to 35 lbs solo; team lift up to 60 lbs.
• Cross-train and work in multiple assembly areas as needed.
• Follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area in compliance with 6S standards.
• Maintain focus to meet quality standards.
