Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a results-oriented store operations leader to assist the Store Manager in delivering an exceptional customer shopping experience and guiding teams across merchandising and operations.

You will help develop action plans from associate feedback and lead initiatives to meet sales and safety goals. Responsibilities include cross-department coordination, driving budgets, reducing shrink, and maintaining strong community and labor relations when applicable.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED.
• Experience leading, coaching, and developing associates to meet goals.
• Experience using KPIs, metrics, and data insights to support decisions.
• Ability to collaborate across departments and influence store performance.
• Strong customer service focus and safety/compliance awareness.

Responsibilities

• Assist store manager in delivering a top customer shopping experience.
• Lead teams in planning and executing merchandising and operating initiatives.
• Communicate results and action plans from Associate Insight surveys.
• Identify opportunities with department heads and implement timely solutions.
• Provide high level customer service and resolve escalations.
• Manage total store operations in the store manager's absence.
• Drive sales, budget adherence, and shrink reduction through effective leadership.
• Engage with community organizations and labor relations as needed.
