Job summary

The Kroger Co. is seeking a results-driven store leader to manage day-to-day store operations and develop the team to meet customer expectations for easy shopping, variety, freshness, cleanliness, and safety.

You will coach associates, implement merchandising and operating initiatives, and drive sales and profits while ensuring regulatory compliance and strong community relationships. You will partner with leaders to plan budgets, manage labor costs, and monitor performance.

Qualifications

• Must lead and develop store associates.
• Experience managing budgets, labor costs, and expenses.
• Strong store operations and customer service focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead store teams in planning, implementing and executing merchandising and operation initiatives to keep the store customer ready daily.
• Collaborate with store leaders and associates to identify opportunities, develop timely solutions and action plans.
• Achieve/exceed weekly, period, and annual sales, revenue and profit budgets and other targets.
• Drive cost-effective sales by reducing shrink and maximizing department profits; manage labor and supply costs daily.
• Discuss store financial performance with leadership and develop budgets for sales, shrink, labor and other expenses.
• Monitor competitive landscape and adjust tactics to stay ahead in the district.
• Promote inclusive leadership and support Our Promise teams in the store and district.
• Coordinate with field Merchandising teams to implement division marketing plans.
• Oversee staffing, retention and turnover; provide timely feedback and performance reviews to direct reports.
• Ensure compliance with laws, policies, and safety requirements; perform essential job functions with or without accommodations.
